Research Abstract

Pu金属のd相(面心立方晶)では、物性を担う5f電子は局在的と考えられてきたが、近年の実験によると、5f電子の磁気モーメントは非常に小さく、局在性に疑問が投げかけられていた。本研究では、Puイオンを面心立方格子に配置した理論模型を数値的に解析し、5f電子の磁気モーメントではなく、5f軌道が整列している可能性を指摘した。また、圧力による誘起磁気モーメントを予言しており、実験による検証が可能である
