Research Abstract

P波到着時刻データの逆解析やPs変換波のスプリッティング解析により, 日本列島の地殻・上部マントルの地震波異方性構造を推定した。その結果, 日本列島の下に沈み込んでいる海洋性プレートの運動と上部マントルの地震波異方性の間, プレートの沈み込みが日本列島に及ぼしている広域応力場と地殻の異方性の間に密接な関係があることが判明した。沈み込み帯の異方性構造はプレートの沈み込みに支配されていると考えられる。
