Research Abstract

分子は軌道とよばれる空間に電子を収容することによって形成されるが、安定に存在する有機分子は全ての軌道に電子を収容しており、空の軌道をもつ分子は一般に非常に不安定で、その化学は十分に研究されていなかった。本研究は4個の空の軌道をもつ有機分子の構造と反応性を研究したものである。特に4個の軌道に4個の電子が入る場合、どのような入り方が、どのような因子で好まれるのかを明らかにし、このような分子の化学の一部に光をあてた。
