| Research Abstract |
生体物質中の陽電子挙動を知るには、水中の陽電子挙動が基本であるが、水中の陽電子挙動はあまり研究されていなかった。今回、陽電子と電子が結合したポジトロニウムのうち、比較的長寿命(2ナノ秒程度)を示す三重項オルソーポジトロニウムと、水中のヒドロキシルラジカルとの反応を利用し、従来不可能であった、ヒドロキシルラジカルの直接観測および超微細結合定数の測定が可能となった。今後、癌発症機構研究などに波及すると考えられる。
