Research Abstract

ナノワイヤ(針状ナノ単結晶)を基にしたデバイスを省エネルギー、低環境負荷な手法で作製可能な「ナノ電解法」を用いて、ナノスケール磁気デバイスの作製に成功した。このナノ結晶に磁場に応答する局在スピンを導入し、電流-電圧特性の磁場効果を測定したところ、20Kにおいて磁場の大きさに応じて電流の増幅効果が見られた。また、磁場の向きによって増幅効果に変化(角度依存性)が現れることが分かった。増幅効果については材料の有する負の磁気抵抗効果によるものと考えられ、今後も更なる研究が必要である。
