Research Abstract

水溶性の非イオン性ポリペプチドに結晶性のアルキル側鎖を導入し、架橋剤により化学架橋したポリペプチドゲルを調製した。このゲルは、60℃の温度で軟化して変形させた後に冷却すると、一時的な変形の状態で固定化するが、再び昇温して軟化すると、調製時の形状に自発的に復元する、形状記憶能を有することが分かった。一次構造の異なる試料を各種調製し、形状記憶のメカニズムについて検討した。
