Research Abstract

これまで生体分子間相互作用を観察する手法として, 全反射蛍光顕微鏡法が広く用いられてきた. この方法では, 他の測定法では得ることができない低いバックグラウンドを実現するものの, 単一分子蛍光の測定などでは信号光が極端に弱いため, バックグラウンドのさらなる低下が期待されていた. 本研究では, バックグラウンドの低減に有効な走査型コンフォーカル光学系を導入した際に生じる像特性の劣化を, 偏光走査によって改善することに成功した.
