Research Abstract

反磁性物質が磁場から受ける斥力が重力とバランスするほど大きくなると物質は浮上する. これは反磁性物質の磁気浮上と呼ばれ, 地上で実現できる擬似無重力状態である. 本研究では磁気浮上状態における物質の挙動を調べ, (1)水の熱対流を磁気力により制御できること, (2)浮上物質の熱的挙動から高精度磁化率測定が可能なことを明らかにすることができた.
