Research Abstract

電荷を持たないため直接の検出が難しく、しかも人体に有害な、高いエネルギーを有する高速中性子のイメージング或いは検出方法として、輝尽性蛍光体(放射線を光信号に変える物質)とポリエチレン(高速中性子を測定しやすい荷電粒子に変換する物質)を組み合わせた方法について研究した。高速中性子発生には必ずガンマ線が伴うが、高速中性子のみを測定するために、本研究では、ガンマ線に感じにくい輝尽性蛍光体を作成して研究を行い、その方法の有効性を確認した。
