Research Abstract |
This research aims at constructing self adaptive communication protocols and networking in large-scale, high-density ad-hoc networks. For this purpose, we focused on and investigated systematic construction and combination of timing synchronization. and routing in the network. The obtained results are summarized as follows. (i) In widely-used IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol, an essential bottleneck is identified in timing synchronization process. (ii) To avoid and eliminate this bottleneck, we have constructed a new timing synchronization algorithm based on IEEE 802.11. (iii) Adding to this new algorithm, we are currently constructing a certain combination of timing synchronization and routing algorithm, which will be presented as a journal paper and also as a patent proposal near future.
