Research Abstract |
(1) Device control For program description using a rule based language, the way of description for controlling more than one devices by one device variable has been established. An interpreter program for interpreting rules and executing rules was developed and was confirmed that it works well. (2) Service configuration For orchestration of services, the way of describing rules to orchestrate individual services has been established. For devices which have diversified functionalities, the way of describing state transition diagrams for individual functionalities and combining them has been established. These ways were confirmed to work well by describing concrete services and being executed using a device emulator Considering that devices used in the home network services are different depending on individual homes, a software architecture which does not depend on physical networks has been established. (3) Support system for developing services For the problems of a synonym and a word used

in different meaning, in writing rules, an ontology model has been established as a form of tree structured database. In addition, the way of modifying the tree structure has been established. For feature interactions, since devices used in the home network service are different depending on individual homes, there is a limitation of terminal assignment which is a basis of detecting feature interactions. The new algorithm for assigning terminals to terminal variables was proposed. The proposed algorithm is based on the bipartite graph. An algorithm for converting from a service program described in a rule based language to a state transition diagram based on extended state transition model was investigated to be confirmed its possibility. (4) Server implementation A protocol stack was bought to develop an execution platform fro executing home network services programs described in a rule based language. Research results described above has been published in domestic and international journals or conferences. Less
