Research Abstract |
Advanced radio-wave techniques in future antenna systems have been studied for achieving ubiquitous space network. First, broad-band array-elements for reflectarray antennas and transmission planar-array antennas using filter property based on coupled resonances have been proposed as next-generation aperture antennas. And also, optimization design approach for multimode horns with shaped beam and low cross-polarization components have been developed as a high-performance feed. Besides, for accurately evaluating the performance of such antennas and feeds, fundamental measurement techniques have been studied by using planar scanning near-field measurement systems.
