Research Abstract

アメリカの維持可能な地域計画運動を推進する非営利団体は、シカゴ、ニューヨークの大都市圏の企業経営者団体。サンフランシスコのような緑地保全団体。オレゴン等の諸州の環境問題に対応する地域計画組織の三つに大別される。注目すべきは第三番目の1000Friendsという州法の監視役、代弁者グループ。Envision Utahのように土地利用と交通の連携を探求するグループである。いずれも、広範な市民の環境問題への関心が基礎にある。日本の維持可能な地域計画の探求においても、法律の立法促進、監視役としての市民団体を育成することが課題である。
