Research Abstract |
炭化ケイ素(SiC)セラミックスの力学特性向上のため、(1) 0.8μm SiC に30nm SiCを体積比で0, 5, 10, 15, 25 vol%混合した焼結体、(2) 焼結助剤(0.83-3.3 vol%)としてAl_2O_3-Yb_2O_3, Al_2O_3-Y_2O_3およびAl_2O_3-Gd_2O_3を加えたSiC焼結体を作製し、その力学特性の評価(強度、破壊靱性、ワイブル係数)を行った。SiCの合成プロセスの最適化を行うと、4点曲げ強度1 GPa、破壊靱性6.0 MPa・m^<1/2>、ワイブル係数11の高性能炭化ケイ素焼結体が得られた。
