Research Abstract

本研究では金属間化合物や鉛に対して安価で製造が簡単な酸化物磁性体による高性能な蓄冷材の開発を目的としておりABO3型ペロブスカイト酸化物にrare earthをPr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Erとして置換物質の試料作製を行い、比熱測定と磁化測定を試みた。また、BサイトをMn, Fe, Crに置換したペロブスカイト酸化物も作成し、同様に測定を行った。その結果より極低温用酸化物蓄冷材としての可能性を考察した。
それぞれの酸化物物質の磁化と比熱の比較から、BサイトがMnの場合に原子番号順に系統性が認められた。また、AサイトがGdからTbに代わると低温部における比熱のピーク位置が高温側にシフトする事が確かめられた。そして、AサイトがHoの場合比熱の値が20K以下においてゼロに近づかず、ある程度の値を持つことも確かめられた。
