Research Abstract

鉄鋼やアルミニウム等の金属材料の製錬・鋳造分野で重要な課題となっている非金属粒子の除去方法として, 直流電流と直流磁場の重畳印加による直流ローレンツ力を利用する方法を提案する. 本年度までで、単一の非導電性粒子に及ぼす直流ローレンツ力の浮力への寄与を, LeenovとKolinの理論により確認し, 続いて2体間の粒子の相互作用とローレンツ力の関係を見いだしていた。さらに, 実際の適用の場で問題となる対流の影響を明確にした。得られた知見を以下に示す.
(1)重力制御効果は単一粒子と同等に現れるものの, ローレンツ力の増加に伴い,非回転力成分の割合が減少した。これは2つの粒子の存在が単一粒子よりも電流の経路に大きな影響を与え、対流が生じたためであると考えられる。
(2)2つの粒子の間隔が減少すると, 非回転力成分の割合が変化し、2つの粒子が相対的に合体あるいは反発することがわかった。
