Research Abstract

宇宙船内で呼吸用の酸素を発生させるために水の電気分解を用いることが検討されている。しかしながら、水電解によって得られた酸素と水素は飽和蒸気圧の湿度を含むことが予想されそのままではキャビン内も導入する事が出来ず何らかの除湿操作が必要となる。そこで固体高分子電解質膜を利用した乾燥機を用いる事を発案した。この装置は空気中の水分を電気分解し除湿する物である。本技術は一般的に凝縮水の排水設備が不要な乾燥機の技術として汎用されることが予想される。
水分を選択的に透過させメタンガスを透過させにくいナフィオン膜の特性把握と、二酸化炭素還元のサバチエ反応で生成したメタンガスと高温水蒸気を膜構造体に導き、水蒸気のみを選択的に透過させ、水電解装置に水蒸気の状態で導く事を目指す。主成分であるメタンガス・水蒸気および未反応成分である水素ガス・二酸化炭素の混合成分から水蒸気のみを選択的に透過させる事が可能であるか検討した。
