Research Abstract

RPAは、DNAダメージ時の修復、複製、相同組換えなど様々なプロセスに関与しているが、ヒトRPAのテロメアにおける機能は現在のところわかっていない。そこで本研究ではヒトRPAがヒト培養細胞においてテロメアでどのように機能するかを明らかにすることを目的とし、分裂酵母rad11-D223Yに相当する変異をもつヒト発現用ベクターhRPA70(D227Y)をヒト細胞に導入し、この変異hRPA70をヒト培養細胞に過剰発現したところ、テロメアが短小化することを発見した。
