Research Abstract

植物個体は、生育する環境にあわせて、物質分配をはじめとするさまざまな性質を変化させる。この研究では、まず弱光条件における最適物質分配法を理論的に解析し、現実の植物が理論的最適値をほぼ満たしていることを明らかにした。さらに、これを使って、個体の半分が被陰された状況の最適物質分配を求め、autonomy とよばれるシュートの独立性が成長の最大化と矛盾するものではないことを明らかにした。
