Research Abstract

横紋筋にしか存在しないと思われている弾性タンパク質コネクチンを、横紋筋以外から探し出した。ムラサキイガイ平滑筋に推定分子量約400万のバンドを見出し、無脊椎動物コネクチン抗体2種類が反応することを示した。環形動物ゴカイ斜紋筋の分子量約400万のタンパク質については、塩基配列21.3 kbpを決定し、新しいリピート構造や弾性を示す新規配列を持つことを明らかにした。さらに張力測定によって、このタンパク質が弾性に富むことも示した。
