Research Abstract

ペスチウイルスは宿主特異性が比較的強いことが知られていて, その宿主域とウイルスゲノム5' 端の二次構造に相関があることを明らかにした. あわせて, ペスチウイルスのビルレンスがとウイルスゲノム上に想定される二次構造のループを構成する特定の塩基と関連することを明らかにし, その成果を2008年9月に開催された第7回国際ペスチウイルス学会(スエーデン)において発表した.
