Research Abstract

カンピロバクター・ジェジュニは食中毒の起因菌である。近年、このカンピロバクターが蛋白のN結合型糖鎖修飾システムを有していることが明らかとなった。N結合型糖鎖修飾システムは菌の病原性に影響を与えることが知られているもののそのメカニズムは不明である。我々は、N-結合型糖鎖修飾を受けた蛋白を同定し、糖鎖が修飾を受ける蛋白の機能等に与える影響を調べた。その過程で、本菌の糖蛋白の中には糖鎖が蛋白の機能に明瞭な影響を有しないものが存在することが明らかとなった
