| Research Abstract |
寄生虫感染は、実験的に自己免疫疾患やアレルギー疾患の症状を抑制することが報告されている。我々はこの機構を明らかにする目的で、住血吸虫の抗炎症効果について検討した。マウスにあらかじめマンソン住血吸虫を感染させることにより、関節リウマチの動物モデルであるコラーゲン関節炎の発症が抑制された。感染によって、Tリンパ球による炎症促進因子の産生能が低下するとともに、足肢における、炎症・骨吸収の促進因子の発現上昇が抑制された。
