Research Abstract |
1. Gamma-glutamyltransferase was significantly related to C-reactive protein (CRP) and pulse wave velocity (CRP) after adjustment. And as the number of metabolic syndrome components increasing, CRP and PWV elevated. 2. Variance in workload, inter-group conflict, role ambiguity, and self-esteem. were significantly associated depressive symptoms. 3. Effort-reward imbalance (ERI) was not related to CRP, but high control was significantly related to lower CRP level in demand-control model (DCM). 4. Significant interaction between smoking and the IL6 -634C/G genotype manifested by CRP concentrations was found. TNF-alpha -857TT allele had significantly higher odds ratio for Helicobacter pylori sero-positive. 5. CRP was no related to occupational class and education level among women. Lower CRP level was significantly related to higher occupational class and educational level after age adjustment among men, but the significance disappeared after age and other conventional cardiovascular risk

Among 24-hour shift worker, shorter nap time was significantly related to depressive symptom and job dissatisfaction. Furthermore, in NIOSH generic job stress questionnaire including model, variance in workload, inter-group conflict, role ambiguity, role conflict, and self-esteem were significantly related to depressive symptom, and quantitative workload, intra-group conflict, role conflict, social support from supervisor, and self-esteem were significantly related to job dissatisfaction. However, the significant relationships of shorter naptime disappeared. 8. In men, higher control evaluated using by DCM was related to lower CRP level, but higher demand was related to lower CRP level.
