| Research Abstract |
本研究においては、慢性閉塞性肺疾患(COPD)の発症幾序における体格の役割を、画像解析と遺伝子多型解析の両方から行った。画像解析においてはCOPD患者のCTデータのコンピューター解析を行い、COPD患者のサブタイプ分析(phenotyping)を行った。また、疾患のサブタイプと体格との関係に関する検討などを行った。その結果、COPD は気道優位型および気腫優位型のサブタイプにわけることが可能であること、また、このうち気腫優位型のタイプに関しては体格との関連が強いことが判明した。この結果に関しては、英文にて論文化し、国際誌(Thorax)にその結果を発表した。一方、遺伝子多型と体格に関する解析においては、残念ながら有意な関係を見出すことは出来なかった。
