Research Abstract |
手術不能である悪性胸膜中皮腫に対する新規治療方法として、硼素中性子捕捉療法の適用が可能であるか否かの基礎的検討を実施した.悪性中皮腫モデルマウスを用いて硼素中性子捕捉療法が重篤な肺障害を与えず、中皮腫の縮小効果と生存期間を延長させることを明らかにした.また、治療計画研究を実施し正常肺への耐容線量以下で、腫瘍に対して治療効果が期待される線量を投与することが可能であることを明らかにした.
