Research Abstract

ステロイド投与時にみられる凝固異常と脂質代謝異常の両者を抑制することは、ステロイド性骨壊死発生の予防の一助となる可能性がステロイド性骨壊死動物モデルを用いて実験的に示唆された。さらに、HMG-CoA還元酵素阻害剤であるピタバスタチンは、第3世代のスタチン系製剤で、強力な総コレステロール低下作用およびHDL-コレステロール上昇作用を有しているが、本薬剤もステロイド性骨壊死の予防効果があることが実験的に示唆された。
