Research Abstract

口の中にできた癌には放射線治療や手術が行われるが、その際顎の骨を一部切除することで機能障害をきたす。そこで近年こうしたケースに術後早期の機能回復を目的にインプラントが用いられる。しかし治療により被爆した骨への埋め込み時期は不明であった。そこでウサギを用いた実験を行なった結果、通常の放射線治療ではヒトに換算すると照射後約14ヵ月にはインプラントを入れることが可能となることがわかった。
