Research Abstract

歯周病原細菌Tannerella forsythiaの病原因子である細胞剥離因子(forsythia detaching factor : FDF)は、接着細胞を剥離する活性があり、さらに細胞内でIL-8の産生を促進した。従って、歯周組織に炎症を誘導し歯周炎を発症・進行させる病原因子として重要であると考えられる。また臨床的には、歯周炎患者の歯周ポケットに於ける歯肉溝滲出液(GCF)中の坑FDF抗体レベル(単位GCF当たりの抗体濃度)は健常者と比較して有意に高い値を示した. さらに歯周炎患者群において, 健常部位と歯周炎罹患部位の抗体レベルを比較すると, 前者で有意な高値を示した. CRの結果から, 歯周炎罹患部位ではfdfが検出される割合が高, 一方抗体レベルは低い結果が得られた. GCF中の坑FDF抗体レベルの測定は比較的簡便であり, 将来的には的確な診断・予後の判定に有用なツールの一つとなる可能性が示唆された。
