Research Abstract |
The aim of this study was to develop educational materials for Interprofessional education in health and social welfare university that learns special roles and functions of nursing to contribute Interprofessional work. We interviewed hospital nurses, home-visitor nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical social workers, and doctors. And we did the participation observation of conference at recovery period rehabilitation unit. The roles and functions of doctor were diagnosis, therapy and prescription, of physical therapist were treatment of bodily function, of occupational therapist were treatment of work and activity, of medical social worker were social aid. The roles and functions of nurse were patient's health care and environmental management, and life support and treatment support of the patients and familes. Nurse had roles to do patient's life management and care coordinator and had a function of spokesman of patients and their families. Nurse's zeal for care infiltrated another team members, so nurse could make "for patient" "patient to the subject" embodiment and could influence. In the team that the partnership was demonstrated, practice was done by the member's mutual agreement, and the daily adjustment between team members did by any occupational category. It was preferable that it is connected by the partnership with an equal each team member, and expert practice was dons while being shared the aim by a daily sharing of intelligence and the conference. The individual ability to do interprofessional work and the organizational structure were necessary for that.
