| Research Abstract |
本研究は、筋萎縮性側索硬化症患者を介護する家族のエンパワメントを促進する支援プログラムの開発を目指した。家族介護者12名へインタビューを実施した結果、2~16年の介護過程で<<自己の取り戻し>>という作業が行われていた。介護者の重要な関心事は、病気の現実と介護の意味をみずからの人生に統合しなおし、<自己>の再発見によって、患者の生きがいをともに見いだすことであった。しかし、そのためには、他者との接触や情報提供が不可欠である。今後インターネットを通じた相談窓口も考慮する必要がある。
