| Research Abstract |
10名のチームからなる本研究では、文学・歴史地理学・社会学・都市保存学の観点から、京都とヨーロッパ主要首都のイメージに関して、1)国民のアイデンティティを強化するための歴史的空間としてのみやこ、2)古都としての保存と近代的都市開発の理念の葛藤、3)美意識の変化とみやこの姿との影響関係を中心テーマとして共同研究をおこなった。2006年11月には公開シンポジウムを開催し、2008年度には研究成果報告書を作成して、近隣の研究機関と公共図書館に配付した。
