Research Abstract

好冷性生物は、通常の温度域で生育する生物が低温ストレスと感じる温度を高温ストレスと感じ、これに応答する。即ち高温ストレスにもっとも鋭敏に応答する生物であると考えることができ、その応答機構には他の生物とは異なる特徴があることが期待される。本研究ではゲノム情報を利用して、好冷性微生物における高温ストレス応答の普遍性と特異性、熱ショックタンパク質の構造的特徴と機能に関する知見を得た。
