| Research Abstract |
An original Japanese patent database was constructed. The numbers of cited academic journals are automatically counted. The dependence upon scientific knowledge of inventions is different among patents in different technological categories. In addition to conventional university measurements like numbers of patents, amount of research funds, numbers of visiting researchers, and academic donations, science linkage proved to be a good indicator for multi faucet university evaluation.
