Research Abstract

ナノクラスタ物質およびゼオライトについて、電子デバイス基板上への薄膜形成および構造の解明を行うことを意図して、これらの物質の基本物性を研究した。ゼオライトに関して、周期的ナノ構造を有する薄膜を2種類の方法により作成した。まず第1の方法は、ゼオライト化合物の前駆体となる低分子化合物を基板上に気相で成膜して、その後触媒存在下で加熱する方法である。第2の方法は、シリコン元素から構成されるナノクラスタ物質系に適用される方法で、予め薄膜を成膜しておいて、その薄膜をナノ空間を有する物質に変換する方法である。上述の2つの方法とも薄膜形成は真空チャンバー内で行った。真空チャンバーは有機薄膜作成用に設計した真空装置を用いて、膜質制御用に温度変化が可能な基板ホルダーを作成して設置し、膜厚計のレイアウトを最適化することで目的のナノ構造物質薄膜を得ることを試みた。得られた薄膜の結晶構造については、X線回折測定により結晶性や配向性の観点から検討した。特に、SPring-8などの放射光施設の強力なX線の下、基板表面に対して極めて浅い角度(0.2度程度)で入射することにより本物質系の精密測定が可能となった。研究を遂行した、ゼオライト薄膜においては、成膜した膜がもろく、アルカリ金属などをドープした際に結晶構造が乱れるという結果が得られた。従って、さらに構造的に強い薄膜を形成する技術を開拓する必要がある。一方、シリコン系物質に対しては、変換領域が表面の一部だけに留まるという結果が得られた。表面全体における転換手法のための改良が必要とされる。
