昆虫型人工飛翔体を目指した羽ばたき飛行安全性・操縦性の研究

Research Abstract

平成19年度は主に以下の研究項目を実施した。
昆虫型プロトタイプモデルと小鳥型プロトタイプモデルを完成し各々の静止飛行・前進飛行・旋回飛行の運動モードにおける空力特性及び動的安定性の解析を実施した。具体的には,蛾,ハエなどの計算流体力学モデルに対して,6自由度を有する昆虫自由飛行の力学モデリング及び大規模シミュレーションを実施し,昆虫羽ばたき飛行の動的安定性解析などを行った。
とくに,航空機の安定性理論を適用し大型昆虫スズメガと小型昆虫ショウジョウバエの羽ばたき飛行における動的縦安定性解析を行った。まず計算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics)手法を用い,羽ばたき周波数の大きい昆虫を6自由度の有する剛体として近似し,羽ばたき翅に働く空気力と回転モーメントを1周期平均で計算した。さらに静止飛行の釣り合い状態に,昆虫の縦対称面における水平方向・垂直方向・ピッチング方向にそれぞれ一連の微小撹乱(速度または角速度)を加えた際に生ずる空気力とピーチングモーメントの空力微係数を求めた。準定常理論に基づき,羽ばたき昆虫の運動方程式を線形化し,撹乱を-0.1から0.1まで0.01刻みで無次元化した微小なものとした。また微小変位の起きた状態と釣り合い状態との差を取り,空力微係数を求め,運動方程式のシステム行列に代入し固有値解析を行った。これにより,線形安定性理論を用い昆虫羽ばたき飛行の動的安定性の運動モード解析を施した。本研究手法を適用し,スズメガとショウジョウバエの静止飛行における動的縦安定性解析を行った結果,大型昆虫の3つの運動モードがともに安定であることに対して小型昆虫の長周期運動モードが不安定または中立になるという新しい知見を得ることができた
