Research Abstract

ベトナムの蚊から数種類の日本脳炎ウイルス以外のウイルスを分離した。電子顕微鏡観察ではいずれもエンベロープを有するウイルスであることが判明した。その1つはLC/MS/MSによる解析により従来ベトナムではまったく存在がしらていなかったバンナウイルスのタンパク断片が検出され、遺伝子解析を行った結果、ベトナム特有のバンナウイルス(レオウイルス)であることが判明した。さらに中国で過去に分離されたバンナウイルスとの比較からベトナムのウイルス遺伝子の一部は中国のウイルスと共通であり、このウイルスがアジア大陸に広く生息していることが示唆された。(投稿中)さらに、まったく新種のウイルスでありNidoウイルス科に分類されると思われるRNAウイルスを分離した。これは蚊から分離された世界で初めてのNidoウイルスと考えられ現在、動物での感染性やヒトにおける抗体保有調査を実施している。そのほかチクングチヤウイルスなどのアルボウイルスも確認できた。
