Research Abstract

我々、霊長類が、視界を効率的に探索しているときの脳内の計算機構を明らかにすべく、サルを用いた新規の行動課題を確立した。さらに、視覚を司る大脳新皮質と相互連絡のある視床枕のニューロン活動を記録した。その結果、視床枕には、ボトムアップ性に生起された視覚応答から、探索時に駆動されるトップダウン信号へ、変換されていく過程が、反映されていることが分かった。
