Research Abstract

硫黄の天然水中での硫黄関連物質の挙動を把握することにで、地球環境変動の把握において重要な酸化還元状態に関するパラメーターを提供することが可能であるといえる。本研究では、水深4,000mの深海において、1年程度メンテナンスフリーの状態で作動する現場型化学センサの開発を行った。またここで開発した装置を用いて、実際の観測を行い、地殻変動や環境汚染検出を実施した。
