Research Abstract

急速に変化する北極圏を機動的かつ安価に観測するためのシステムとして自律型無人小型飛行機(UAV)を導入した。観測・データ解析の結果、(1)衛星観測による夏季海氷密接度は海氷の表面融解の影響を受けて7%過小評価していること、(2)陸面の植生分布等の差異によって表面温度の変動が3度〜7度も幅がありその影響が大気境界層内にも及ぶこと、(3)海面水温の空間分布の変化に伴い大気境界層が変質することなど、大気・海氷・海洋・陸域の各分野においてUAVが有効な観測システムであることが示された。
