Research Abstract

スピン流生成のモデルとして最もシンプルな金属二層膜及び微細加工したワイア・膜接合を利用し、スピンダイナミクスや磁化不均一構造からのスピン流生成を系統的に調べた。本研究の主要成果は、以下に集約される。(1)スピントルクとスピンホール効果の併用によりスピン緩和が電気的に変調され、これはスピン流の定量や磁化緩和制御に利用できる。(2)スピンダイナミクスからのスピンポンプの強度を決める条件を見出し、最適なスピンポンプ条件を定式化した。(3)NiFe/Ptにおいて、磁化ダイナミクスとスピン流、電流の相互作用を定量的に体系化した。(4)超スピン流(スピン波スピン流)のスピンホール効果を用いた電気的検出に成功した。(5)NiFeに温度勾配を与えることによってスピン圧が生じる現象「スピンゼーベック効果」を発見した(Natureに論文掲載)。以上により、本研究の目的が全て達成された。
