Research Abstract

燃料電池に用いられる炭素担持白金族合金触媒の高性能化を展望し,活性担体機能を有する新触媒系を検討した。メタノールおよび一酸化炭素の酸化に対して従来の白金・ルテニウム合金触媒と同程度の触媒活性を有し,格段に耐久性を向上させた白金・酸化ルテニウムナノ複合触媒を創製し,助触媒機能の反応機構を明らかにした。また,より安価な材料開発も実施し,酸化チタンナノ構造体でも同様な耐久性向上効果があることを見出した。
