Research Abstract |
本研究では、赤外光とミリ波の中間領域の電磁波であるテラヘルツ波用の検出器の大面積化と高感度化を目的とした開発を行った。検出器には、超伝導トンネル接合素子をベースとした、基板吸収方式を採用した。本方式では、基板に照射したテラヘルツ波により、基板内で発生するフォノンを超伝導素子で検出するため、超伝導電極材料と電極サイズを最適化することで本研究の目的が達成できる。申請者は、各種電極材料の検討やそれに応じた最適な電極サイズなどを見いだし、開発の指針を得ることに成功した。
