Research Abstract

核融合炉を目指した高温プラズマ中の電子密度の空間分布や揺動を計測することを目的として、超短インパルスを光源としたパルスレーダー計測法の開発を行った。本手法はプラズマに入射した電磁波がその波長に対応した電子密度層において反射する現象を利用し、超短インパルスから広帯域な周波数の電磁波を抽出して、広範囲な密度層の計測を行うというものである。実験では、大型ヘリカル装置に適用し、密度分布計測に成功した。
