Research Abstract

樹状突起は、他の神経細胞もしくは感覚受容器からの情報入力を担っており、外部情報を的確に受容する為には、樹状突起が適切な空間に配置されることにより、受容領域を正確にカバーすることが重要である。申請者は、リン酸化酵素Ndrキナーゼ・ファミリーが、樹状突起の維持・管理機構において中心的な役割を果たしていることを世界に先駆けて示した。さらに、ダウン症原因因子の1つである接着分子Dscam (Down's Syndrome-associated Adhesion Molecule)がNdrキナーゼと協調して機能することを見出した。
