Research Abstract

カビや酵母などの真菌は、醸造・発酵産業に利用され我々の生活に利益をもたらすとともに、動植物の病原菌として厄介な存在でもある。本研究では、真菌の生命の維持に必要なエネルギー代謝に注目し、これを解明することによって、真菌の生育(繁殖)の制御に関する知見を得ることを試みている。また、得られた知見を他の生物のそれと比較・検証することにより、真菌のエネルギー獲得機構のなりたちと分子進化を考察することを目指した。
