Research Abstract

水欠乏条件下でも,作物の生産性を高める可能性がある切葉技術に着目し,切葉技術による乾物生産力の向上を説明する理論解明,ならびに海外現地試験場における切葉技術の効果検証を行った.切葉処理は,残葉のガス交換速度や水分状態を良好に保つことによって,光合成速度を高く維持すること,条件によっては個体のバイオマスや収量が高くなった.これらの効果,土壌,植物,大気の水移動経路モデルによって説明できる可能性を示した.
