Research Abstract

カテコールアミン(ドーパミン、ノルアドレナリン、アドレナリン)は脳の高度な機能を発揮する上で重要な神経伝達物質であり、中心的な合成酵素であるチロシン水酸化酵素(TH)によって量が調節されている。胎生期のATF-2欠損マウスを解析した結果、転写因子ATF-2が脳の正常なTH遺伝子発現に必須であることと、パーキンソン病との関連性を明らかにした。また、神経の発達や生存に重要と考えられるATF-2のリン酸化修飾部位を同定した。
