Research Abstract

対連合記憶課題を遂行中のマカクザル下部側頭葉において多細胞同時記録を行い、対連合記憶課題に関連した活動を示す複数の神経細胞間で機能的結合が見られることがわかった。また、視覚弁別課題を遂行中のマカクザル下部側頭葉における多細胞同時記録のデータについて、機能的結合が見られた神経細胞対の、周波数領域における機能的結合の性質を調べた結果、ガンマ帯域(40-100 Hz)におけるスパイク間コヒーレンスが、呈示刺激依存的に一過性に現れることを見出した。これらの結果は、高次視覚野における局所神経回路の性質の解明につながるものである。
