Research Abstract

本研究では、抗酸化作用を有する食品成分であるカロテノイド・ポリフェノール類から血管新生抑制作用を示すものを新たに見出し、その作用機序について血管内皮細胞を用いて明らかにした。更に、それらの成分が、血管内皮細胞に対して保護的に作用することや肥満に繋がる幹細胞からの脂肪細胞分化を抑制することを見出した。これらの成果から、抗酸化作用と血管新生抑制作用を有する食品成分は、メタボリックシンドローム発症予防に有効であることが示唆された。
